Every person has heard at least once about Napoleon Bonaparte, the greatest commander of all times. His monumental tomb is located in Paris in the crypt of an equally magnificent cathedral, where the Sun King himself once attended ceremonies.

Around the cathedral there is one of the most interesting architectural complexes of the French capital - Les Invalides. It recently turned 350 years old!

During our fascinating tour, you will hear interesting facts from the lives of the royal veteran soldiers, look into their refectories and learn to distinguish some units of the French army from the era of the “Lace War” and the Napoleonic Wars while walking through the Army Museum, one of the richest in the world.

You will see the armor in which French kings fought in tournaments for beautiful ladies, as well as the cuirass worn by Cardinal Richelieu himself from The Three Musketeers!

You will find out in what period the French army had camels, why Napoleon lost his last battle, look into his camp tent, meet his famous marshals... and a life-size war horse!

Finally, you will go down to the crypt, where the guide will tell you what Napoleon’s sarcophagus has in common with the Lenin Mausoleum. And a memorable photo with a colossal statue of Napoleon will be one of the brightest impressions of our excursion!

You will see:

  • Tombs of Napoleon I and Napoleon II
  • Guns from different periods of French history
  • Canteens and workshops for veteran soldiers
  • Personal belongings, tent
  • Favorite horse of Napoleon I
  • Tricorne of Naoleon I
  • Military uniform of the French army from different times
  • Soldiers' Church of St. Louis
  • Royal Cathedral of Invalides
  • War trophies
  • and much more...
